"När man tänker rätt på saken är läraryrket ungefär som att pissa i ett skyltfönster."

Med den här pricksäkra meningen börjar berättelsen Fördämningar, och jag kan lova att det bara blir bättre och bättre för varje blad.

Läsaren får följa med in i Agnes (en förvirrad tonåring som inte passar in någonstans) och Veronicas (en ung samhällslärare som inte riktigt hunnit ikapp åren som gått) värld.

Agnes och Veronica upptäcker ganska snart att de har mycket gemensamt, att de kan hitta en fristad i den andras närhet.

Anna-Malin har beskrivit hur två till synes helt olika världar kan flätas samman, och bli en. Med ett varierat och kraftfullt språk fängslar hon läsaren i en berättelse om kärlek och svek, om trasiga handleder och krossade flaskor.

"Vi har alla våra fördämningar inombords.
Fördämningar som vi tror ska ge oss skydd
mot allt det som finns inuti oss och som skaver
och gör ont."

Så sant som det är skrivet. Vi har alla våra fördämningar inombords, tonåring som vuxen. Ibland glömmer vi bort dem, liksom förtränger dem, och tror att det handlar om en period som snart är över. Anna-Malins bok får en att minnas de förträngda fördämningarna, de osynliga begränsningar, samtidigt som den fyller en med ett slags lugn och vissheten om att det faktiskt blir bra till slut.

Jag har alltid älskat författare som vågar leka med orden, vågar göra något oväntat, något unikt, av orden. Det vågar Anna-Malin, och det gör henne till en enastående författare.
